Sector Vission

Rule of Law is the foundation for legitimate government, protection of citizens' rights, and a competitive market economy. It is also essential to combat corruption and curb the illegal drug economy. State-sponsored justice must be made available to all Afghans.

A functioning justice system is an essential component of coming to terms with a violent past and to building a secure and prosperous future. An independent judiciary and accountable law enforcement system will protect the human rights and legal protections guaranteed to all Afghans. Vulnerable social groups, including women, children, and the poor are especially at risk from the arbitrary, illegal, and corrupt use of force by state and non-state actors. The enforcement of property rights, contracts and financial services laws will favor direct investment and enable the poor to leverage their resources and further their economic goals.

Combat corruption and Promote gender equity in the political, economic, and social life of the nation. The community leadership and accessibility of shuras and jergas can strengthen the overall justice system.
